Caroline M. O'Connor
Caroline M. O'Connor is an Emmy® nominated producer and communications/public relations/marketing professional highly experienced in public policy, lobbying, political and legislative advocacy, and organizing. Caroline is a tenured Director of Communications at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, a national arts nonprofit, and formerly the Director of Communications at the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO. Prior to living in Los Angeles, Caroline served as the Political and Legislative Director of a Texas public sector union, lobbying the Texas Legislature on behalf of working families and organized labor. She began her career as a union organizer in West Texas.
Caroline is also an adjunct instructor at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College where she teaches "New Media for Unions" and "Framing the Message for Labor."
She received a Master in Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. Caroline spends time traveling in Mexico and Latin America and studied Spanish at the Escuela para Estudiantes Extranjeros at the Universidad Veracruzana - Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico.
